Description


We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our IT team and manage the administration, maintenance, and optimization of our Microsoft 365 environment. This role is ideal for someone with a solid understanding of Microsoft 365 services, security policies, and user management. The successful candidate will ensure reliable performance, troubleshoot issues, and support users across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Administer and manage Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Configure, monitor, and optimize Microsoft 365 security policies, including identity and access management.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for Microsoft 365-related issues and escalations.
  • Manage user accounts, licensing, and permissions within Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).
  • Implement and maintain security best practices, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Conditional Access.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Microsoft 365 outages, performance issues, and connectivity challenges.
  • Assist in Microsoft 365 migrations, integrations, and upgrades as needed.
  • Create technical documentation and training materials for end-users and IT staf.
  • Stay up to date with new Microsoft 365 features and recommend enhancements based on business needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Microsoft Server related tasks and incidents.
  • Monitor systems, safeguard user up-time, and perform daily tasks by utilizing remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools.
  • Some afterhours/on call work expected.
  • Other duties as assigned or necessary.
  • Travel may be required.


Preferred Certifications:

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Entra ID Administrator Associate (or related certifications)
  • CompTIA Certifications (Network+, Security+, A+, Etc)


Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Self-starter - must have a sense of urgency and be able to work effectively and efficiently alone, troubleshooting independently, or in teams to meet project timelines in a collaborative, team-player environment


Other Qualifications:

  • Experience managing and supporting Microsoft Server Environments.
  • Experience troubleshooting basic IP networks.
  • Experience in the Dental industry or other medical fields.
  • Experience with RMM tools such as Ninja.
  • MSP experience is a plus.ing.
Requirements

Β 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Proficiency in managing Microsoft 365 applications and Entra ID.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
  • Understanding of Exchange Online, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive administration.
  • Knowledge of email security, spam filtering, and data loss prevention policies (Mimecast Preferred).
  • Experience working with Intune for endpoint management is a plus.
