Payroll Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in the Raleigh, NC area. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees. Your main focus will be to ensure that all employees are paid correctly and on time, while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You will be a key member of our finance team, working closely with HR and other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in payroll processing
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations
• Experience with payroll software
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field 
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation
• Experience with State Tax Regulations
• Experience with payroll systems implementation or optimization

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to payroll
• Maintain accurate records of all payroll transactions
• Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll in a timely and professional manner
• Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations
