Job Summary:
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with
government regulations. The Payroll Specialist has a range of duties that include collecting timesheets, calculating
wages, and ensuring employees receive their pay on time.

To be successful in this role as a Payroll Specialist, you should be able to carry out all tasks with high attention to
detail and organization.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
· None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
 

·  Ensure the payroll is processed in compliance with federal and state laws.
 

·  Review, audit and verify timecards and time discrepancies.
 

·  Calculates payable hours, bonuses, and other payroll related items.
 

·  Processes paychecks, and pay statements detailing earnings and deductions.
 

·  Issues, or reissues, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll adjustments or final discharge
on an ad-hoc basis.
 

·  Answers employee questions and concerns regarding payroll.
 

·  Meet strict deadlines to ensure payroll is processed accurately and timely
 

·  Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.
 

·  Process final paychecks in accordance with Various Final Pay laws
 

·  Multi-state experience preferred
 

·  Prepare period payroll reports.
 

·  Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
 

·  Ability to analyze information with attention to detail and sense of urgency.
 

·  Ability to maintain confidentiality
 

·  Great interpersonal and communication skills
 

·  General Math Skills
 

·  Data Entry Skills
 

·  Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
 

·  Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software.
 

·  Ability to multi-task and work in a time sensitive, fast paced, deadline driven environment
Education and Experience:
· Two years of experience in Payroll preferred.
