Lead IA Network Engineering and System Administrator

Position Description

S2Technologies is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead IA Network Engineering and System Administrator to USNAVSOUTH/FOURTHFLT. Primarily serves as a USNAVSOUTH/FOURTHFLT Network Engineer and secondarily as a system administrator in our Jacksonville, FL location. (4.2)

Typical tasks include:

  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure (currently 12 switches, 10 routers, 1 firewall, 50 servers, 4 TACLANEs, and 5 VTC systems), with anticipated 5% annual growth.
  • Engineer network architectures per DoD guidance, configure switches/routers, monitor performance, diagnose issues, apply software upgrades, and document network changes.
  • Install, configure, and test hardware/software, ensuring compliance with federal network security standards and optimizing system functionality.
  • Administer C4I systems including ENMS Lite, DCGS-N (SIPR/JWICS), ADSI, GCCS-J, Radiant Mercury, and VTC systems.
  • Conduct weekly security scans, patch management (10-15 per week), and submit compliance reports per DoD IA and CND policies.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for system and network operations.
  • Provide Tier II/III support for users, resolving complex technical issues with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Maintain accountability for over 150 IT assets, support PC and hardware maintenance, and assist with interim communications and equipment relocations.
  • Support ongoing and emergent IT/networking tasks and perform additional duties as assigned to meet operational needs.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Required Experience

  • NSA/CNSS 1411 Certified - Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Professional
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional, (CCNP) Routing and Switching
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate - Security
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • CompTIA - Security + Certification
  • Cisco ASA 5515-x firewall with Intrusion Protection System (IPS) experience
  • DCGS-N Block 2 Ashore maintenance training
  • Radiant Mercury (RADMERC) Administrator
  • SPLUNK configuration and operation
  • Cisco VTC operation and configuration; Cisco Routers and Switches, configuration, backup and restore
  • MS VISIO
  • ACAS scanning software
  • Experience with SPLUNK Log correlation and management software, ACAS scanning software, WIRESHARK network sniffing tool, and MS VISIO.
  • ο‚§ Experience with VMware virtual servers and workstations.
  • ENMS Lite training on BMC products
  • All requirements per DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Work Force as a privileged user at a minimum Information Assurance Level II Certification, GSEC, Network + CE, Security +CE, SSCP certifications and all subsequent Level II certifications.

Education:

  • Bachelor's preferred

Certifications:

  • Shall maintain appropriate Computing Environment (CE) certifications for supported operating system. All requirements per DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Work Force as a privileged user at a minimum Information Assurance Level II Certification, GSEC, Network + CE, Security +CE, SSCP certifications and all subsequent Level II certifications
